It's kind of sad to see the lament over the lapsing of ethical behavior and not see the connection between these lapses and the erosion of the moral worldview which shapes and reinforces those ethics in the first place. But in this article, somebody sees it. The last sentence is particulary telling.
Lev. 19:11-12
You shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another. And you shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.
