Yessiree. California - again - steps up. Miss California 2009, you are beautiful in spirit, in truth, in word and deed! What a surprising and unexpected rebuke of so-called 'Gay Marriage". Her simple, courageous, and sincere, opinion on a public platform so rattled the pageant directors that they felt compelled to offer afterwards a confused diclaimer invoking freedom of religion! Wow.
For those of you who are not so spiritually discerning - this is the equivalent of an "ouch!"

As can clearly be seen here the end result of gays coming out of the closet is the placing of religious faith into the closet. Basically it is becoming acceptable that the practice of religious faith is something that should only be done in private, not in the public square.
Seeing the judge who asked the question on Larry King say that the answer was inappropriate because Miss USA represents everyone, indicates that a religious faith that considers homosexual behavior sin is not a belief that is acceptable for everyone and at the very least should be left to private thoughts and not publicly spoken.
Dr. Michael Brown recently wrote on this; Gays Out, Conservatives In - the Closet and I think he hits the nail on the head.
It is becoming that our faith and the practice of our faith is restricted to our places of worship and our homes and is forbidden at our workplaces and in the public square. While I think it is sad that it is coming to this point, I do think it an inevitable part of our history and the plan of G-d. Indeed we are rapidly approaching end times and events like these only seem to confirm it.
